The first sacrament of Holy Baptism in the new church

On Sunday, September 24th, after the Divine Liturgy, the first sacrament of Holy Baptism was performed in the new building of our church. Infant Emilia (two years old) was baptized. Her parents Polychronis Nikolaos and Smirnova Alexandra chose our church for this sacrament, because our church is located near the city of Joliette, where this family lives.

The Sacrament of Baptism was performed by Hieromonk Seraphim (Tregubov), a cleric of the orthodox church of the Icon of Mother of God of Diveyevo.

The Rector of the parish, Archbishop Irénée (Rochon), and the parishioners cordially congratulate infant Emilia and her parents on receiving the sacrament of Baptism, prayerfully wishing the newly enlightened infant and her parents strengthening in faith, hope and love, as well as spiritual perfection and enlightenment in Christ Jesus for many prosperous years to come! For all parishioners, this is a great joy also because the performed sacraments mean that the new church begins to live fully, bringing more and more people to the mercy of God the Father, strengthening them in Christ and in the grace of the Holy Spirit!
